JOBSEEKERS: AVOID THIS UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE ORGANISATION. I phoned to ask for the salary range for a job today. The HR woman, who was an older sounding lady, was excruciatingly rude and obnoxious. She refused to tell me the salary range and kept demanding to know what my current salary was. I kept explaining I was unable to speak freely as colleagues were nearby in my office and she kept saying 'name a figure' and 'what salary are you on'. It was like a weird power trip for her, to refuse to give any hint of what the remuneration would be. I explained that the salary range would help me decide whether to apply, but after getting nowhere with the pig-headed HR woman, the decider has been this horror's awful, unprofessional and obnoxious behaviour. If that's the type of person who is representative of the culture of ACEM, then I'm out.
